I have referenced this image of Brad Pitt with his 'need money for Porsche' shirt in my second magazine 

REFERENCE TO 'MID 90'S' MOVIE 

(unfinished front cover) 'back to the mid 90s' in cover lines. posing and costume looks like the movie and this reference was picked up by classmates

 edited the background of this image to remove the road as much as possible and the fence from behind the trees. also made image a lot brighter as seen below:

experimented with a different front cover design as I am struggling to place text around the other one due to the position of her arms. I don't like this photo as much but still tested it as a possible alternative. 

I decided to restart my website as I was finding the preset design of the other template difficult to customise how I wanted it.

 increased brightness of image and gave text an outline, there are some issues with shadows from where I cut my model out to put her in front of my masthead so will have to try and solve that issue.

I made image brighter and tried and tested fonts to add models name. I will need to reshoot photos to make them brighter and change models hand positioning so it is easier for me to add text around my model.
